3 weeks straight

Fri Aug 28, 2009, 10:05 AM
So I've done one picture per week for the last three weeks. WOW. It's a freakin' record.

Gabriel is enjoying his new Jumperoo...he's a STRONG little guy as he broke off one of the cutesy play-things attached to a string. :P He's rolling around, looking like he wants to crawl, very "talkative" and OMG he is just so CUTE!

I love my baby boy so much. :D He'll be a whole HALF YEAR OLD on September 13th!!!

Dan and I will be enjoying our FIRST WEDDING ANNIVERSARY on November 7th.

And Hopefully we will be with family in the Chicago (home for me) area for Thanksgiving.

In the meanwhile, the answer is YES I plan on continuing this "one drawing per week" growing habit. It's been very nice to do some things. :-)

Love ya all!

Yay for art!

I submitted yet again! :D woohoo!

Gabriel is 5 months, 7 days today and he is a very healthy, proportionate 20 lbs 8 oz. The docs keep telling me "don't worry about weight" so I guess many mothers worry - I'm not worried at all. He looks perfect! :D The other day he tried to talk too! He is sooooooo smart. When I opened the car door I said hi and started talking to him and right after I say "Ah Luv Yoou!" he said "AAH OOH OOH". SERIOUSLY...for everything I've known/observed of him he WAS trying to talk saying the same sounds as best as he could for "I love you". :D :D :D

I love my baby so much!

Upcoming news:

September 15th - marks the end of my 90 day probationary/trial period of work and a potential raise increase to $25K and salaried! :D

September 13th - Gabriel's 6 month birthday!

November 7th - Dan and I celebrate our ONE YEAR WEDDING ANNIVERSARY! <3

Still alive! Just very busy as a new mommy...

I have one painting I want to do. BUT....I have almost no time to do it! So I am terribly sad. :-(

I got a JOB! So I am working again in the office field! Woohoo for more money! :-) very very very sad and boo for not seeing my baby Gabriel much anymore.... :-(

Labor was 92 hours long and ended in a C-section! D: Incredibly I made it with only one shot of Nubane. Other than that, no pain killers, no epidural, no nothing. I would have continued but my body was not responding to the inducement.... But my baby was born SO HEALHY AND HAPPY!

He is nearing his four month birthday on the 13th of July. Yes, he was born FRIDAY THE THIRTHEENTH OF MARCH! So awesome. He is a healthy baby born at 7 lbs, 15 oz (1 oz away from 8 lbs) and 19 1/2 inches. He is now over 15 lbs and over 23 1/2 inches! He is starting to LAUGH, sit up and always has loved to "stand". :-) Gabriel Mark Drenberg is his name....and I am so happy to be a mother! If I could I would be an at-home mommy and just be with him. It's not easy working and doing total mommy stuff after... and to be a good mommy it does take a lot of work! :-) But I'm more than happy to do so.

So yeah...again...my artwork is at a terrible back-seat because of my life right now. At least I have a nice past collection! :-) One day I'll resume...I just don't know when.

1 month 10 days....

Fri Feb 13, 2009, 6:28 AM
Only 1 month and 10 days until my baby is born!

I know I haven't been updating lately... several reasons: no money for purchasing canvasses and supplies (I'm out of a job and wont return to one until after I've recovered and baby's needs have been met for nursing). Hormones - they're messing with my ideas...one day they are super happy foo-foo ideas, another day they're borderline how they used to be.... all in all, every time I attempt to start a canvas (which I have one in the basement) my thoughts are too scattered and I can't get anything out... I don't feel like startin something then having it change five to ten minutes in, then again in a half hour.... it's a waste of paint. :P Also...most IMPORTANTLY...due to my pregnancy and the uterus sitting on some important nerves/blood veins it's causing numbness in my thumbs, fingers and so forth. Sensation to hot/cold and pressure (such as holding onto a pencil/pen) is greatly affected. Attempts at drawing (differentiations in pressure is necessary) are more fustrating and futile than anything.

So .... yeah. Nothing right now.

But that's ok b/c I'm too excited about the baby and need to get so much stuff done for the nursury, packing hospital bags and all this lovely stuff anyway! :D I'm so excited to see him for the first time!
